Group Therapy

Healing doesn’t have to happen alone. A space to connect, grow, and support one another.

Group therapy at Sol Rise Counseling creates a supportive space to build meaningful connections, learn from others, and grow together.

Together, participants can gain new perspectives, strengthen coping skills, and discover they're not alone in what they're facing.

Offerings will be introduced in the future as Sol Rise Counseling expands its services.

Specialties and Modalities

Every person is unique, which is why I tailor therapy to your individual strengths, goals, and needs. Below are some of the evidence-based approaches I may incorporate into our work together.

Ongoing learning is a core part of my practice, allowing me to provide care that is both effective and attuned to each individual.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps us understand the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Sometimes, the way we think about a situation can leave us feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Together, we'll identify unhelpful patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking, helping you feel more confident, balanced, and equipped to navigate life's challenges.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

TF-CBT is a trauma-informed approach that helps children and teens process difficult or overwhelming experiences. It provides a safe, structured, and supportive space to understand the impact of trauma, build healthy coping skills, and promote healing and resilience. While TF-CBT was designed for children and adolescents, I also incorporate many of its principles when working with adults.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT is often helpful when emotions feel intense or difficult to manage. It teaches practical skills to regulate emotions, tolerate distress, and strengthen relationships, helping you feel more grounded and in control during life's challenges. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained, these skills can help you navigate life's ups and downs with greater confidence and resilience.

Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)
Biofeedback
Experiential Therapies

IFS is based on the idea that we all have different parts of ourselves that serve a purpose. You might notice a part of you that feels anxious, another that shuts down, or one that tries to stay in control. Together, we'll get to know these parts with curiosity rather than judgment, helping you understand yourself more deeply and move toward healing and self-compassion.

Biofeedback helps you better understand how your body responds to stress. Using real-time feedback, such as heart rate or breathing, you'll learn skills to regulate your nervous system and build a greater sense of calm and balance. It can be especially helpful if you often feel anxious, overwhelmed, on edge, or disconnected from your body.

Experiential therapy recognizes that healing isn't just about talking. Our bodies often hold onto difficult experiences, and sometimes healing happens through experiencing, not just explaining. Depending on your needs, we may incorporate body awareness, emotions, mindfulness, or creative expression to support deeper healing and self-understanding.
